“游魂说”本身是一个非常矛盾的概念。游魂者，本指无所依托之魂。然而既是魂，就是一种精神存在或观念存在。精神或观念附之于或存在于生活世界才成其为存在。“游魂”存在乃因为其在人们的精神或观念中，而且“游魂”之“游”有活着的意味，活而未见其体其形，故为“游魂”。
